PARCELCOPTER PROPOSAL
The first parcel delivery business in the world, DHL, was the first to logistically include a parcelcopter in its delivery chain. In 2016, the business successfully completed a three-month trial in which its third-generation Parcelcopter made fully autonomous deliveries for clients in two mountain communities in the wind and snow.
They could simply plug their shipments into the Skyport to start automated shipment and parcelcopter delivery during the trial. The drone travelled 130 times, covering a distance of around 8 km and ascending as high as 1,200 m. Within eight minutes of takeoff, the deliveries were completed in the winter. A similar trip would have needed thirty minutes. Generally, it’s for the future of our logistics.
Additionally, DHL is making it simple to dispatch packages or medicines to specific locations by referring to their technology as DHL's PARCELCOPTER. For instance, it truly makes life easier for the staff at DHL:
- Low Cost
- Fast Delivery
- Low maintenance
- assisting in the distribution of aid in the same situation
